Shark Robot Vacuum Reviews

The Shark AI robot vacuum is an excellent machine with an enormous debris container as well as good maneuverability. However, it is slower in room mapping than pricier models & may misinterpret common objects like power cords as obstacles to avoid.

The Shark app allows you to schedule cleanings of your entire home from anyplace and provide useful reports. It also lets you create no-go zones and other preferences.

EZ Robot Self-Empty

The EZ Robot Self Empty is a self-cleaning robotic vacuum cleaner that makes cleaning your home an easy task. It comes with a self-emptying bagless base and cleans your home in rows, which ensures the complete coverage. The EZ Robot is also equipped with a number of features that make it simpler to use than ever. It has a built-in timer to automatically clean your house, and you can control it via the Shark Ion Robot Self Empty Clean app or by voice with Alexa or Google Assistant.

The EZ robot comes with three suction power settings: normal, energy-efficient Eco mode and high-power Max' mode. Its multi-surface brushroll can clean floors that are not bare, though it may struggle with carpets with tassels, or are too dense. It can identify obstacles, such as low-lying objects, like electrical cords, and move them around, when needed. It is quiet and has two side brushes to remove debris from corners and edges.

In our tests, EZ Robot cleaned my entire 1,100 square feet main floor quickly and efficiently. It took just over an hour to charge and was ready for the next cleaning session in just half that time. The EZ Robot also has smart sensors that prevent it from falling down stairs or other obstructions, and it can create detailed maps of your home to identify areas that require attention.

You can connect the EZ robot to your wireless network via its Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, it can be controlled with the SharkClean application for iOS and Android or via voice using Alexa or Google Assistant. The EZ robot can be programmed to clean in various ways and you can even create virtual no-go zones to prevent it from getting out of certain areas. The app allows you to label rooms and make cleaning schedules, which are great for busy households.

We compared the EZ Robot against the iRobot Roomba 694 and the iRobot was better in all categories. The iRobot is more robustly built and has a bigger dirt compartment capacity thanks to its dust bin that is external. It also clears debris more efficiently on low- and high-pile flooring. It also moves more easily, and allows users to set virtual boundaries through the companion app. The iRobot also is faster to charge and has longer maximum battery life.

Matrix Robot

This robot vacuum provides many of the features you'd expect to find in a top-of-the-line robotic cleaner. Its LIDAR mapping sensor lets it quickly and accurately map your home, enabling fully autonomous movement. Its powerful cleaning brushroll ensures that all dust, dirt and pet hair get pulled from your floors and carpets with astonishing suction. The self-emptying feature in the matrix means that you can save time and effort by not having to empty the vacuum after each use.

This is an excellent choice for busy homeowners looking for a robot they can leave completely. It is also simple to connect to a Wi-Fi network and is controlled via the shark self emptying vacuum app. The app lets you schedule cleaning sessions according to your schedule, and also tells the robot where to continue. This is a significant improvement over the normal robot's functionality, which gets stuck on obstacles or wastes time trying to navigate back.

The Matrix is a great option for homes with many floors that are bare however, it might struggle to take on heavier debris. It is higher than many vacuums and may be a challenge to get under low-lying furniture. But, it still does a great job of keeping your home clean and free of dust.

Another excellent characteristic of this cleaner is its Matrix clean, which uses an exact grid that makes several passes across the dirt, making sure that there are no areas unnoticed. It also has amazing suction power, which makes it capable of tackling every floor kinds. It is also able to remove pet hair from hardwood floors which is a major benefit for pet owners.

The Shark app is easy to install and navigate. You can select rooms or dirty areas for Matrix Clean and schedule it using a timeline. This is a fantastic feature for busy homeowners who don't have a lot of time to tidy their homes. This is an excellent alternative for those who don't want to purchase or rent a conventional vacuum, but still need to be able to clean their home on their own.

IQ

Shark IQ is a great robot vacuum. It is easy to use, comes with a Wi-Fi connection, and has a wide range of automation features. It is great for carpets with low piles and floors that are bare. It's also a great choice for pet owners and is extremely maneuverable. It also has a few features that set it apart from other robots, including visual mapping and self-emptying.

Its battery performance is superb, lasting for over an hour in high-suction mode, 'Max. In its energy-efficient "Eco" mode the robot can run for up to two and quarter hours. The companion app shows the robot's status and the top has lights that indicate its level of charge. When both lights are green the robot is fully charged. If one light turns off and then the other turns red it is running out of power.

The app is user-friendly and attractive, and it gives you control over the settings of your robot. You can alter the robot's power mode, receive push notifications, set up a cleaning schedule and check its history. It's compatible with both Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can use voice commands to control the robot. It also has an automatic mode that can alter the power of cleaning in accordance with the kind of surface it's cleaning.

Press the "Clean" button on the bot to clean an area. This is much quicker than pressing the manual buttons on your remote. The robot will start cleaning that room. If it gets a bit crowded or encounters an obstacle, it can be manually reset using the menu in the app.

The docking station of the IQ has an external dirt compartment which can hold up to 30 cycles of debris. This helps with maintenance without having to be hands-on, but it's not as practical as the bagless design of a full-sized Shark vacuum.

In comparison to the iRobot Roomba 694, the IQ Robot has better overall performance on all types of floors, uses smart-pathing to plan more efficient cleaning routes and has physical boundaries that you can use to block it from entering certain areas. It's also more durable, has a longer-lasting battery, and incurs lower cost.

AI Robot

The AI Robot is a 2-in-1 robot that's inexpensive and has excellent maneuverability. It also has intelligent features which make it a great option for homes with small spaces. It's quick and efficient on all kinds of floors, is rarely stuck and has a large bin in its base that needs to be emptied every 45 days. It comes with a feature that lets you can set boundaries for it, so it doesn't spill out or into rooms you do not wish to.

The AI Robot has two downsides: it is less reliable than my most trusted robot vacuum (the Roborock Q5 which is a shrewdly reliable model+) and performs slightly worse on rugs with a high pile. It's also a bit more loud, and can be unable to remove debris from cracks between tiles or wooden planks. However, it still has a lot of the features I'm looking for in a robot, like the ability to self-empty, and it's a lot less expensive than the iRobot Roomba 981 (9/10 WIRED recommends).

This intelligent bot is excellent at cleaning most surfaces, but it's a little weak on high-pile carpet. It is great on bare floors and its sensor system allows it to effortlessly climb over rug tassels and electrical cords without getting stuck. It's also the only robots that has self-emptying docks that significantly reduces your hands-on maintenance and costs that are recurring.

The AI Robot, like the EZ Robot Self Empty and Matrix Robot is compatible with Alexa or Google Home devices so you can control with voice commands. It's also compatible with iCloud, which means you can sync it to your iPhone or iPad and utilize the SharkClean app to control it from anywhere.

The app is feature-rich however the interface can be a little cumbersome at times. You can schedule, create virtual boundaries and track the health and charging status of your robot. You can also schedule reminders for cleaning sessions and more. You can also make use of the app to connect your smartphone to the robot and allow you to control the robot from any location in your home and manage its smart functions through the Wi-Fi connection of your phone or tablet.
