Lenalidomide is a remedy for the treatment of cancer. It was originally intended as an agent for treating multiple myeloma, for which thalidomide is a conventional therapeutic treatment. Lenalidomide also showed efficacy in a class of hematologic disorders known as myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Along with several other remedies developed in recent years, Lenalidomide significantly improved overall survival in myeloma (which previously had a poor prognosis), although toxicity remains a problem for users.

Lenalidomide, is an antitumor immunomodulator, enhances immune responses and anti-angiogenic (preventing the appearance of blood vessels in the tumor) action, prevents inflammatory reactions in the body.

Lenalid 10 mg is used to treat myelodysplastic syndrome (low red blood cell level), for the treatment of multiple myeloma (cancer of blood plasma cells), and as a supporting therapy after bone marrow transplantation.
