Rivaroxaban, the main active ingredient of the remedy, is an inhibitor of Xa factor with a high oral bioavailability index. This allows you to achieve high efficacy of anticoagulant Xarelto and slow the formation of prothrombin in the blood.

Indications for taking of Xarelto 10mg.

Xarelto 10mg is indicated for taking by people with prolonged immobilization, extensive surgical procedures on the legs with prosthetics of the hip or knee joints in order to prevent the formation of thrombi and the development of thromboembolism. The medication is effective in the treatment of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary artery occlusion and for the prevention of repeated seizures. Xarelto 10mg is recommended to be used to prevent the development of stroke in the atria of the heart in the form of arrhythmia of non-valvular origin.

Method of application Xarelto 10mg

The medication is intended for parenteral use during meals or 15-20 minutes before it. Reception of the remedy is desirable to organize at one time of the day every day.
For preventive purposes, the remedy should be taken daily, not exceeding the daily dose. The daily dose of Xarelto 10mg is not more than 20 mg, for patients with renal pathology, the daily maximum is limited to 15 mg.
For the treatment of thrombosis and thromboembolism, 21 days at the beginning of treatment, take 15 mg of the remedy twice a day (at a dose of 30 mg per day). Further therapy is to prevent relapse and is limited to 20 mg per day.

Contraindications of Xarelto 10mg

The presence of heavy bleeding in the acute period, as well as in a predisposition to them – after injuries and pathologies of the vessels of the brain and spinal cord, operations on the eyes, in the presence of oncopathology with an increased risk of bleeding. Medication is also contraindicated in patients with gastric ulcers and with suspected varicose veins of the esophagus.
Xarelto 10mg is not recommended for people with liver diseases associated with lowering blood clotting levels and with renal insufficiency with Cl creatinine lower 15 ml / min.
The remedy is contraindicated in patients with lactase deficiency and children under 18 years.
